For most brides, trying on bridal gowns is an exciting ritual to be shared with family and friends. Everyone gathers at the dress shop to watch the transformation when the Perfect Dress is found. The bride steps out of the dressing room to oohs and ahhs, while mothers dab their eyes at the beautiful vision in front of them.

Unfortunately, for many women, this is not the scene. Some brides are filled with anxiety and stress while searching for a gown that makes them feel and look beautiful.

During my own engagement, I flat out refused to go shopping for a dress. After much encouragement, a friend dragged me to a salon. Sadly, the experience was exactly as I had feared. The dresses only went to a size 20 (size 12 in normal sizes) and they had to hold the back together for me to “get an idea” of how it would eventually look.

Not only was I humiliated, but I was annoyed. Sadly, 14 years ago there were no other choice except to hire a seamstress and hope for the best.

It’s Almost Bridal Show Time!

Premier Bride Showplace is coming up this Sunday, January 9th at the Fresno Convention Center. In preparation for this fabulous bridal show, we will only be open from 10am-1pm on Saturday, January 8th and we will be closed on Sunday, January 9th. You are more than welcome to visit our booth at Premier Bride Showplace on the 9th. Advance tickets are available at our store for $7 (cash only) or online at www.brideshowplace.com. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the show for $9.

Beginning Monday, January 10th, we will resume our normal store hours. We look forward to showing off all of our gowns in the fashion show on Sunday and hope to see you there!

We received the gowns for our trunk show, originally scheduled for Nov. 11 thru Nov. 14, very early so we were able to show them off this past weekend. Our brides loved them! We’ll have these gowns, not normally in stock, until the 14th. If you are looking for a unique gown from a line you haven’t seen before, you’ll want to come by to take a peek at these! In honor of the trunk show, we’re offering 10% off any of the Kathy Ireland gowns until Nov. 14th only. Don’t miss them while they’re here!

This Thursday, Nov. 11 we’ll have a fashion show showcasing these new gowns at 7pm during our 1st Anniversary Bash. Join us for some great food and beverages, meet all of the vendors that call the Premier Bride Wedding Center home, and win lots of prizes! For our brides who already purchased their gown from us, we’ll have a special drawing for a $300 bracelet. The event is free and we look forward to seeing many of you that evening!

We dressed the Emmy’s!

We had the honor of styling a client who attended the Emmy’s two weekends ago. He wore a black Calvin Klein tuxedo and accented it with a black shirt, tie, and vest. He looked amazing and yes he had a great time!
